GIST Institute for Artificial Intelligence and SNU Institute of New Media and Communications announced on the 7th (Fri) that they had signed a mutual business agreement (MoU) for research cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence.

The signing ceremony was held in the conference room of SNU Institute of New Media and Communications. It was attended by Heung-No Lee, director of GIST Institute for Artificial Intelligence, Jung Woo Lee, director of SNU Institute of New Media and Communications, and SNU ECE Professor Jong-Ho Lee.

The agreement included ▲ cooperation in AI startups, education, and research▲ cooperation in building core industrial data for a smart, inclusive society, ▲ joint participation in national R&D and startup projects, ▲ exchange in graduate students and post-doc. researchers, ▲Blockchain-related research cooperation and human resource exchange.

Heung-no Lee, director of GIST AI Research Center, said, “I hope this MOU will be the beginning of practical research and human resource exchange between the two research institutes. We will positively contribute to job creations and startups by doing our best in establishing IT data that will lead the AI industry.”
