[ECE Department] Researcher Ui-chan Park (Advisor: Professor Jung-suek Oh) Wins 1st Place in the IEEE ISAP Student Best Paper Award
Researcher Ui-chan Park under the guidance of advisor Professor Jung-seuk Oh, won the Student Best Paper Award (1st Place) at the IEEE ISAP(International Syomposium on Antenna and Propagation) held in November 2023, presenting his findings in the Student Award Sessions.
The winning presentation titled "A New Class of Method With TE/TM Wave Decomposition and Superposition Enabling High-Efficiency Transmitarray Antenna" analyzed possible issues that can happen when designing transmissive metasurface antennas of low height, and presented a new methodology of improving their efficiency by a novel distribution of unit cells based on a decomposition and superposition process of TE & TM polarization waves.
