April 2025 issue cover of Advanced Electronic Materials


A paper by Jaeseung Woo, a Ph.D. candidate at the Three-Dimensional Integration and Devices Lab(TIDL) led by Professor Wooyoung Choi, has been selected as the cover paper of the April 2025 issue of Advanced Electronic Materials (AEM).

AEM is a prestigious open-access journal published by Wiley in the field of electronic devices and materials research. It covers a wide range of topics including electronic devices/materials, device physics, micro/nano electromechanical systems, and organic electronics. 

The specific content of the paper selected as the cover of the AEM issue is as follows:

In the April 2025 issue, [first author Jaeseung Woo] proposed and implemented a novel Dual-Layer-Per-Array computation scheme in an array of ferroelectric tunnel field-effect transistors (FeTFETs) for large-scale neural network implementation. Thanks to two independently controllable current regions, dual-layer vector-matrix multiplication operations can be performed within a single FeTFET synapse array. This enables the implementation of the same neural network using only half the area compared to conventional neuromorphic hardware.
