(From left) Covers of the April and March 2026 issues of Advanced Intelligent Systems

Research papers by members of the Three-Dimensional Integration & Device Lab (TIDL), led by Professor Woo Young Choi, have been selected as cover articles in the April and March 2026 issues of Advanced Intelligent Systems (AIS). The April issue features work by Jin Ho Chang and Jae Seung Woo, while the March issue highlights research by Jin Wook Lee, Changha Kim, Geun Tae Park, Seung Hun Baek, and Myeong Su Shin.

AIS is an authoritative international journal that publishes innovative research in intelligent technologies, including artificial intelligence, robotics, smart sensors, and autonomous systems, encompassing both theoretical and experimental advances for next-generation intelligent systems.

Details of the two cover papers are as follows:

April 2026 Issue (First Author: Jin Ho Chang): Proposes a large-scale, high-reliability Hopfield neural network based on vertical NAND flash memory, enabling in-memory associative computing (supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT’s Next-Generation Intelligent Semiconductor Development Program)

March 2026 Issue (First Author: Jin Wook Lee): Demonstrates charge-domain in-memory computing using ternary content-addressable memory (TCAM) based on nanoelectromechanical (NEM) memory switches and capacitors three-dimensionally integrated within the CMOS interconnect layers. (supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT’s Next-Generation Intelligent Semiconductor Development Program)
