1. Name : Glo-harmony Scholarship

2. Overview
Seoul National University has been one of collaborative institutions of the Samsung Dream Scholarship Foundation’s Glo-harmony(domestic scholarship for students from developing nations) Scholarship Program. The program started from spring semester of 2008. SNU will select approximately three undergraduate/graduate students among applicants from developing countries for Fall semester 2012.

3. Eligibility Criteria
▪Students from DAC recipient country
▪Undergraduate or graduate students
▪Undergraduate students: going into first, second or third year in Fall 2012
▪Demonstrating financial need
▪Majoring in Humanities or Social Sciences are given priority
▪Willing and capable of contributing to their home country upon graduation
▪Having potential to become a global leader
▪Language proficiency of either English or Korean is highly recommended, but not compulsory

4. Value of Scholarship
Undergraduate
▪Full Tuition Fee is provided by SNU starting from 2012 Fall(Maximum of 8 semesters)
▪Scholarships will be revised and renewed every year depending on their grades(minimum of 2.7), study ability, improvements in Korean Language, and fund availability at the time of renewal.
▪Financial support (dormitory fee, insurance, text books, food, etc.) will be provided by Samsung Dream Scholarship Foundation
Graduate:
▪Tuition or other financial support will be provided by Samsung Dream Scholarship Foundation

Approx. 3 students(undergraduate/graduate)

6. Procedure & Important Dates
Application deadline: Aug. 3(Fri), 2012 18:00
First Screening: Aug. 20(Mon)~21(Tue), 2012
Interview: Aug. 23(Thu)~24(Fri), 2012
* Only those candidates selected for interview will be contacted
Results: Aug. 31(Fri)
* Only final candidates will be notified.
