-Information about SNU Glo-harmony Scholarship for 2013 Spring-

Name :        Glo-harmony Scholarship
Overview :        Seoul National University has been one of collaborative institutions of the Samsung Dream Scholarship Foundation’s Glo-harmony(domestic scholarship for students from developing nations) Scholarship Program. The program started from spring semester of 2008. SNU will select approximately three undergraduate/graduate students among applicants from developing countries for Spring semester 2013.
Eligibility Criteria : Students from DAC recipient country
▪Undergraduate or graduate students
▪Undergraduate students: going into first, second or third year in Spring 2013
▪Demonstrating financial need
▪Majoring in Humanities or Social Sciences are given priority
▪Applicants from combatant nations of the Korean War(South Africa, Ethiopia, Colombia, Turkey, Thailand, and the Philippines) are given the first priority in 2013
▪Willing and capable of contributing to their home country upon graduation
▪Having potential to become a global leader
▪Language proficiency of either English or Korean is highly recommended, but not compulsory

Value of Scholarship        Undergraduate
▪Full Tuition Fee is provided by SNU starting from 2013 Spring(Maximum of 8 semesters)
▪Scholarships will be revised and renewed every year depending on their grades(minimum of 2.7), study ability, improvements in Korean Language, and fund availability at the time of renewal
▪Financial support (dormitory fee, insurance, text books, food, etc.) will be provided by Samsung Dream Scholarship Foundation

Application deadline: Jan. 25(Fri), 2013 18:00
First Screening: Feb. 13(Wed) ~ 15(Fri), 2013
Interview: Feb.22(Fri) ~ 28(Thu), Mar. 2(Sat)
         * Only those candidates selected for interview will be contacted
Results: Mar. 6(Wed)
        * Only final candidates will be notified.
