Students who wish to apply for the application should refer to the following and submit the application form within the application period.

 

QT (TEST DATE) : 2023. Sep. 2 (Sat)

 

1) [MS_PhD_Integrated_Degree Program students] Those who were admitted during 2015 and after must apply for (PhD)QT in their 3rd semester.

 

2) Those who were admitted during 2016 and after must take life-respect-course (education for life protection) since taking this program is one of the eligibility for taking QT.

 

3) [MS_PhD_Integrated_Degree Program students] Those who were admitted from 2012 to 2014 :

Regulation is different depending on student number. If you can read Korean, check Korean Board first. If not, drop by office to check out requirements for QT.

 

Once again, make sure that students who are in MS/Ph.D Integrated degree Program must drop by this office. You need to check Korean Board if you can understand Korean. If not, drop by this ECE office or email me to check the eligibility to apply for QT.

Those who want to give up the integrated master's/doctoral program must submit the waiver document(포기원) since your registration in SNU must be changed to ''master degree''. (by Jul. 21 2023).

◆ 1. Registration Period: 2023. 7/12(수) ~ 7/25(화) 17:00 [Keep the deadline]

 

During the period, visit https://ece.snu.ac.kr/graduation/ then fill out the form online and print it out.

 

You need to submit application form including other required documents to this ECE office (building 301 room 319, Ms. Cho Seonhee) please note your picture must be attached on the application form.

Your picture must be on the form and it includes the advisor’s signature and yours.

If you want to cancel the on-line registration that you’ve done already, let her know the cancellation by email or in person.

 

 

◆ 2. Qualifying Test (QT) Date : Sep. 2 (sat.) 9:00~11:00 (for 2 hours)

 

-intended for the students pursuing MS degree, PhD degree and integrated MS/Doc degree

 

You may not enter the test room once the test starts. You may leave the test room 1 hour later from the test start (time).

 

Those who fail QT are required to take Oral Test. (further notice)

 

◆ 3. Eligibility for QT

You need to meet all requirements to take QT(exam). Only eligible students can register and take the test(QT). Check the following eligibilities before you apply.

[Master Degree Program students and the students submitted the waiver document(포기원) even though he/she was admitted by integrated master's/doctoral program]

 

1) Completion of at least 2 semester

 

2) A minimum of 6 credits of ECE Department’s graduate courses obtained (except reading and research course(대학원논문연구), mandatory seminar course and S/U courses)

 

3) [안전환경교육] Completion of "The Environmental protection and safety Course"

-the related notice will be posted on ECE intranet each semester, Jan. and July.

4) [인권/성평등교육] Completion of ‘’Human Rights and Gender Equality Education’’(Sexual Assault Prevention Seminar).

 

5) [생명존중(자살예방)교육] Completion of ‘’life-respect-course(education for life protection)’’

-Keep note that those who were admitted during 2016 and after must take life-respect-course (respect life program) since taking this program is one of the eligibility for taking QT.

[PhD Degree Program students and Integrated master's/doctoral program students ]

 

1) Completion of at least 2 semester(Integrated master's/doctoral program students must have registered 3 semesters or more)

 

2) A minimum of 6 credits of ECE Department’s graduate courses obtained (except reading and research course(대학원논문연구), mandatory seminar course and S/U courses)

 

3) [안전환경교육] Completion of "The Environmental protection and safety Course"

 

4) [인권/성평등교육] Completion of ‘’Human Rights and Gender Equality Education’’(Sexual Assault Prevention Seminar’’)

 

5) [생명존중(자살예방)교육] Completion of ‘’life-respect-course’’

- Keep note that those who were admitted during 2016 and after must take life-respect-course (respect life program) since taking this program is one of the eligibilities for taking QT.

 

You need to have the three kinds of certificates such as ‘The Environmental protection and safety Course(안전환경교육)’, ‘Human Rights and Gender Equality Education’’(Sexual Assault Prevention Seminar/인권성평등교육)’ and ‘life-respect-course(education for life protection)(생명존중교육)’ if you don't , please email her first.(seonhee@snu.ac.kr).

-"The Environmental protection and safety Course" will be open in Aug. you have to take the safety course and take a test for it.

 

[Remarks]

 

Starting 2020 1st semester, the number of subjects has been changed to 8 subjects. Please kindly find the attached file for subjects. (You need to choose only 2 subjects and solve them during the test)

Result for QT will be announced in Oct.
