Research Groups

The research conducted by the Power Systems Laboratory (PSL) at SNU pertains to almost all area of power systems. For Carbon Neutral, the power systems that were previously reliant on coal-fired power plants are undergoing a transition to incorporate alternative energy sources, including batteries and renewable energy. Stable operation of this new power system is progressively becoming more difficult as a result of the deteriorating strength of inverter-based resources, as well as volatility and unpredictability. Comprehensive research is being conducted at PSL in order to guarantee the consistent operation of future power systems that are built upon new technologies.
