Abstract:

지난 50여년간 실리콘 디바이스 스케일링을 통해 IT 산업의 지속적인 성장을 견인하였던 무어의 법칙이 끝나가면서, 회로, 아키텍처, 소프트웨어등 소위 “above-silicon” 기술의 혁신이 그 어느 때보다 중요해졌다. 본 강연에서는 이러한 무어의 한계를 극복하기 위한 컴퓨터 시스템 연구의 동향을 소개하고, 하드웨어와 소프트웨어를 아우르는 통합 연구의 중요성에 대해 논의한다.
