The SNU College of Engineering held a retirement ceremony for professors. SNU College of Engineering (Dean Byung-Ho Lee) announced on the 28th that they had held the ceremony on the 23rd (Wednesday).
Vice President Chang-Hee Lee (pictured above), of Samsung Displays, was elected as the director of the Market Strategy Board (MSB) of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), an international standardization organization in the field of electrical and electronic fields.
The following lectures were selected as the department’s outstanding lectures, and the awards ceremony was held in the professors’ meeting room on the 7th.
Emeritus Professor Wook-Hyung Kwon (79, above photo), of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at SNU, was appointed as a new international member of the National Academy of Engineering of the United States on the 10th.

The Korean Academy of Science and Technology, an academic institute of science and technology, has announced on Dec. 1st that 33 young scientists under the age of 43 notable for outstanding research accomplishments in the field of science and technology have been chosen as members of the 2022 ‘Young Korean Academy of Science and Technology’.
He invented one of the digital conversion compression methods of analog signals and developed technology to frame information for optical communication.
