  가. 지원자격 (동시충족)  ※ 정부초청장학생 중복지원 불가

    - 본교 2026학년도 1학기 석사, 박사, 석·박사 통합과정 신입생 중 재단 지정 27개국 출신자 (계획안 내 선발 국가 리스트 참조)

    - 인문·사회·이공 계열 전공자

    - TOPIK 성적 보유자 등 한국어 능력 우수자 우대 (TOPIK 2급 이상)

  나. 지원내역

    - 등록금 전액, 학습지원비 월 100만원, 지원기간 중 건강보험료 지원, 한국어 교육기회 제공 등

  다. 지원기간: 정규학기 이내 석사 최대 4학기, 석박사통합 최대 6학기, 박사 최대 6학기

    ※ 매 학기 성적심사를 통해 지속지원 여부 결정

POSCO Global Scholarship in Korea (Spring 2026)

We are pleased to announce the call for the POSCO Global Scholarship in Korea for Spring 2026. Please review the details below and apply within the designated period.

1. POSCO Global Scholarship in Korea
The POSCO Global Scholarship in Korea is offered by the POSCO TJ Park Foundation to foster promising young talents from overseas and support them in pursuing graduate degrees at leading Korean universities.
The scholarship provides full tuition coverage and a monthly living allowance, along with additional benefits throughout the study period.

2. Eligible Applicants (must meet all the below requirements)
❍ Status: Newly admitted graduate students (Master’s, Doctoral, or Integrated Master’s–Doctoral) at Seoul National University for the Spring 2026 semester ❍ Nationality: Applicants must be nationals of the 27 countries designated by the Foundation (see attached list; dual Korean nationals are not eligible)
❍ Major: Humanities, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Engineering
❍ Language: Preference is given to applicants with strong Korean proficiency (TOPIK Level 2 or higher)

3. Scholarship Benefits
• Full tuition coverage for the normative program duration o Master’s: 2 years
o Doctoral: 3 years
o Integrated Master’s–Doctoral: 3 years
• Monthly living allowance: KRW 1,000,000
• Additional benefits:
o One-time settlement allowance of KRW 1,000,000
o National health insurance premiums during the study period
o Korean language education opportunities provided by the Foundationinterview.
❍ The POSCO TJ Park Foundation will conduct interview evaluations of the recommended candidates to select the final scholars. Shortlisted candidates will be asked by the Foundation to submit a personal statement before the online

4. Selection Process
❍ Applicants must submit their applications to their respective colleges. Required Documents
1) Application form (use attached form) to your college manager via e-mail
❍ The Office of International Affairs will review the submitted documents and recommend candidates to the POSCO TJ Park Foundation.
(After receiving nominations from Seoul National University, the Foundation will contact nominated candidates individually to conduct online interviews to evaluate applicants based on its leadership values and scholarship criteria.)

4. Global competency
5. Social responsibility & personal integrity

5. Number of Students to be selected: around 0 student(s)
SNU will recommend approximately 2–3 times the number of expected final awardees to the Foundation.

6. Scholar Obligations and Eligibility Maintenance
❍ Obligations
• Participate in Foundation-organized activities (award ceremony, workshops, community events)
• Award ceremony for New Scholars: March 2026 (1st week; mandatory attendance)
• Complete at least one Korean language course offered by the Foundation or obtain TOPIK Level 3 or higher
• Report post-graduation career progress to the Foundation

❍ Eligibility Maintenance
• Maintain a minimum GPA equivalent to B0 (3.0/4.5 or 3.0/4.3) each semester o GPA conversion is not accepted; the university’s grading system is used.
• Scholarship may be suspended for the following semester if GPA requirements are not met
• Recipients may not receive other external scholarships concurrently
• The scholarship will be terminated if the recipient is expelled or receives disciplinary action for violating university regulations.

7. Deadline
- Submission to OIA by an electronic official document from the applicant’s college by December 11th, 2025

8. Screening of Documents: During December 2025
※ An interview with the POSCO Foundation will be held to those who passed the 1st level of screening

9. Final announcement of results: January 2026 (to be announced by the Foundation)
