SNU Global Scholarship (GS) for Spring 2026

We are pleased to announce the call for the SNU Global Scholarship (GS) for Spring 2026.
SNU Global Scholarship is open to international students enrolled in (or newly admitted to) a graduate degree program at Seoul National University. (Nondegree students are NOT eligible.)

Scholarship Type * Receive either GS 1 OR 2 / Korean Language Training can be received along with GS 1 or 2
1. Global Scholarship 1 (GS 1)
2. Global Scholarship 2 (GS 2) 3. Korean Language Training
Support Period: One regular semester/ 6 months (Spring 2026)

★ Important Note:
Applicants must have at least one remaining regular semester in their program as of Spring 2026. Students who complete all degree coursework by March 2026 are NOT eligible.
※ For GS Korean Only (Korean Language Training) applicants, exceptions may be made only if there are remaining slots in the respective college quota.

★ Application Period
December 12, 2025 (Friday) at 9:00 AM – December 21, 2025(Sunday) at 11:00 PM (KST) (Online application through the mySNU portal)

Application Instructions
1.Log in to your mySNU account (https://my.snu.ac.kr/)
(New students must first create their mySNU account.)
2.Navigate to
Academic Affairs → Scholarship → Apply/Status → Apply for Scholarship
(Alternative path: Academic Affairs → My Info → Student Info → General Application

3.Find the notice for SNU Global Scholarship Program and click “Apply.”
4.Fill out:
o Reason for application (within 400 characters)
o (No video URL needed — extra points for video submissions have been discontinued as of 2026.)


Important:
Students who wish to apply for Korean Language Training MUST clearly state it in the application reason (e.g., “I wish to receive support for Korean Language Training.”)

★ How do I create a mySNU account?
Incoming students for Spring 2026 who do not yet have a mySNU account must follow the attached guide, “How to Create an SNU_ID in Steps,” to create their account before applying for the GS scholarship.

Selection Process

1. Screening by each college/department GS 1 or GS 2 will be assigned based on screening results and each college/department’s allocated quota.
Note: The extra points for video links used in past years have been abolished.
